Meeting Minutes,

At the PLC meeting, they did the planning for the
Rock Gym day.

Kevin reported that the troop account has $2351.41. The payments for both the popcorn sales and the Christmas wreaths have been made.
The council account has $1968.13. A debit of $1,004.80 for the recharter will be made against this account..

Linda reported she has set up a fundraiser at Arby’s for Tuesday, Jan 26 from 4 to 6 PM. This Arby’s is located on Tatum just north of Cactus by Paradise Valley mall. The troop will receive 20% of all sale during the time period. Please come and bring your family and friends
to eat there.
She reported that the troop made $331 and the scouts made $1062 for their individual accounts from the popcorn sales.

Kathy reported that Mitchell’s Eagle Court of Honor on Jan 6th went very well.
She also will be ordering new hiking patches for the troop as we are running out of our current supply.
She has suggested that the troop give merit badge sashes to the scouts.
This will be presented to the scouts to see if there is enough interest for them.
Reminder:
She is keeping a list of registered merit badge counselors. Anyone that signs up as a MB counselor should let her know to keep the list updated.

Lisa reported that the next recruitment night is on Feb 22 and she has contacted Gil from council to let the Webelos know about this event. She would like to ask the PLC if they would be interested in making all scout meetings open to Webelos to attend.

REMINDER:
Lisa and Linda are also working on a troop website. If you would like to check it out, here it is:

The Scouting for Food project is scheduled for 1/30 and 2/6.
We need an adult to help co-ordinate this event. We need fliers to be printed for distribution o 1/30 and to set up collection of food on 2/6. The fliers would be distributed in Robby’s neighborhood.

Bob has suggested the troop do a gleaning service project on a Saturday morning in February or March. The event is set up by the St. Mary’s Food Bank. We would just need to make reservations for the Saturday that we choose. The troop will need to decide if and when it will happen.

Completed events:
Troop Elections were held and the leaders for this Spring are:
Senior Patrol Leader – Dillon
Asst Senior Patrol Leader – Jack
Patrol Leaders – Shane, Alan and Logan

Christmas wreaths sales were completed.
Mitchell’s Eagle Court of Honor with 18 scouts attending

The Rummage sale is scheduled for March 5th. Kevin will check with the church to make sure that the date is OK.
Please save unwanted items to donate for this sale. It usually is a big fund raiser for the troop. The more items we have to sale, the more money the troop will make. Also, the individual scouts will earn money depending on how much work that they do.

Kevin reported that a group of scouts will be in Phoenix in late January to Feb 9th. They will be taking a ski trip and the council will pay for lift passes and ski rentals of any local scout that would like to attend.
