Troop 619 & 226 Committee Agenda 10-14-19

  • Call to order- 7:00
  • Will- Eagle Scout Project
    • He came to get approval for building a display case that includes LED lighting for his marching band’s awards and recognitions.  There are a few items he needs to complete before final approval.
  • Treasurer Report- 
    • Troop 226 has $604.55 in the Venture Crew Wells Fargo Account 
    • Troop 619 has $3,758.15 in their Wells Fargo Account
    • $600 was paid on 10-7 for Friends of Scouting for Troop 619
  • $3,458 has been deposited in popcorn sales so far, but has not been paid for
  • Fundraising Report-
    • Popcorn Money and Take Orders for popcorn are due by 10-21
    • Wreath Sales are starting for both boys and girls 
  • Recruitment Report-
    • 9-12 Cross in the Desert Join Scouting Night- No Troop Recruits
    • 9/20-9/22- Geronimo Family Campout- No webelo attendees, but they helped Troop 616 with cub event for Pack 316, and  226 Helped lead activities for cub pack.  
    • The troop will need to plan the event and have it prepared for the round tables in April and May.
  • Advancement Report-
    • Nothing new to report.  Caleb and Will are working on their eagle projects
  • Service Report-
    • 10/19- Church Work Day- We need support for this event from both troops 7:00-?
    • 10/19-10/30- Multiple dates available to assist with church youth pumpkin patch.  Can potentially be a shared fundraiser with church approval
    • 10/25-10/27- Mythoree for both troops
    • 11/9- Troop 226 Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast
    • 12/14- 8:00 Wreaths Across America
    • 12/25- Troop 226 Christmas Breakfast with the Salvation Army
    • OA Member Service Opportunity- 11/15-11/17 Pow Wow @ Heard
  • Outdoor Report- 
    • 10/25-10/27- Mythoree for both troops
    • 11/22-11/24- Troop 619 Campout- Pioneer Living History Museum
    • 11/23-11/24- Troop 226 Horton Creek Backpacking
    • 12/8- Troop 226 Trail 100 day hike
    • 12/13-12/15 – Troop 619 campout- Location TBD
  • Senior Patrol Leader Report
    • Tessa came in to speak.  The girls are going to make Class B shirts and planned them out, and they will use Adrianna’s girl for the T-shirt vendor.  The girls are planning to selling wreaths, and take an orienteering hike from the North Mt. visitors center. They are still deciding if the girls should be on staff or go as a team to the Caperee. 
    • The boys would like to have a Halloween and Christmas party that the committee will plan, and Kyle gave a review of the past campout at Geronimo- record attendance!
